Fishkill Woman Charged With Insurance Fraud

BEACON, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested a Fishkill woman Sept. 10 after an investigation determined she had been cashing insurance checks made out to a deceased person, police said.

According to police, Raquel Estrada-Mochetto, 51, had been forging the signature of the deceased person and cashed more than $8,000 in insurance checks.

Estrada-Moschetto was charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree insurance fraud and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, all felonies.
